Details
Persol is the symbol of an extraordinary Italian story that began in Turin in 1917, when optician and photographer Giuseppe Ratti invented Protector, cutting-edge glasses designed to offer maximum comfort, protection, and vision for aviators and sports pilots. The Persol brand—an acronym for "per il sole" (for the sun)—immediately forged the identity it has maintained ever since: exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. The Arrow is the exclusive zipper decorated with an arrow inspired by the swords of ancient warriors.
The 649 model, the brand's first true icon, was designed in 1957.
In the 1960s, Persol glasses appeared in some of the most iconic Italian films. The style and quality of Persol lenses became famous worldwide.
Even today, each model is produced in the historic Turin headquarters.
